Jason Brand, 47, of St. Petersburg, FL, while awaiting a heart valve replacement, went peacefully to his eternal rest on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Born in Rockford on October 18, 1966, the son of Jack and Teresa Brand. A 1984 West High School Graduate followed by Advanced Air Conditioning Technical School. Lived in Florida from 1984 until his death. Jason is survived by his father, Jack Brand of Rockford; sister, Beth (Joel) Porter of Ft. Worth, Texas and sister, Lisa Brand (Stephen Beck) of Rockford. Preceded in death by his mother, Teresa and sister Rebecca "Becky" Benhoff. Special thanks to Pat Doyle of St. Petersburg for all her thoughtful care of Jason and his dog, Tooie. All services will be held privately following cremation rites. Express online condolences at:
